Bath City 2 - FC Turris 0, April 30th 1977
Hello -
We've had an email from an Italian researching the history of F.C. Turris 1944. If I've understood correctly, they're after any information (e.g. match report, team sheet etc) from a match that took place in 1977.
Any help welcomed!
Here's the full message:

I think 'Reti' refers to the goalscorers, i.e. Sir Richard Bourne and Ken Brown.OliverH wrote:Hello -

The City team was Ken Allen, Nigel Ryan, Colin Tavener, George Gibbs, Richard Bourne, Paul Gover, Peter Rogers, Jimmy McInch, Ken Brown, Kevin Griffin, Peter Higgins.
The Turris team, although it is possible that our Italian friend might know this, was: Strino, Maianti, Pari, Fedi, Albano, Ranieri, Neri, Zinno, Budnanno, Greco, Rossi.
The City goals were indeed scored by Richard Bourne and Ken Brown.
Don't have information about substitutes or attendance.

I believe Graham Weeks has copies of some of the Anglo Italian Cup programmes, he leant them to me for an article (which included a brilliant contribution from Les) a couple of years ago.

And that line up does not include the four who contributed so much to the next glorious season - Andy Provan, Martyn Rogers, Jimmy Jenkins and Martin Wheeler. Easily the best squad in my time as a City supporter, led by a superb manager.
And that Italian team - did check, but sadly it wasn't Claudio Ranieri or Paulo Rossi, although the dates suggested it might be!

Oliver - I have some useful info about the Back Story of this match - going back to stuff that happened in Italy at end of Second World War. Can you let me have e-mail of the Italian guy and I can send it to him direct. Too much to ost here, but I'll do a programme article about it later in season.
