There are special FirstPinkBuses:
Radstock 2130
Frome 2130
Trowbridge 2130
Bradford on Avon 2130
to arrive Twerton Park at 2200 for drinks and lavish supper in Charlies to celebrate with the five hundred other supporters paid £5 each to watch the game plus me who masterminded the betting coup for us to lose and make £1million on Betfair.

Chronicle says Mellor available for Sutton, when does the ban kick in? and I imagine the Taunton game would be included if it is from next week?

Make sure you get down tonight, cheap entry and a chance to see the new signings! Also there will be a very strong team out tonight, so should be a good attacking game!

I'm counting down the minutes. One step from that potential place in the final at Huish Park or somewhere else inconvenient. I'm experiencing the same amount of nerves and excitement as I did before the Woking game.
Prediction - temperature to plummet to below freezing and extra-time.

After last year's shambles against Paulton I am not convinced by the 'strong team' prospect. Having moved throught the previous rounds with a youthful side I would like to see the same players rewarded. I 'm not sure about the commitment from first team players to this competition.

I believe a lot of the Academy or Development Squad players are playing for Bishop Sutton?

Don't you worry, I have it in good authority that updates will flash up during the game with Tyldesley taking a break from mentioning Bayern on the attack to say what's happening at MTP...

Re: Somerset Cup Semi-Final
just about the most dire 90 minutes of football you could imagine capped by the new keeper taking a swing and a miss at a simmo backpass in the final minute that trickled into the net
for what it is worth the team was - moore, bowman, brown, simpson, ball, burnell, stearn, connolly, pratt, wilson, keats. subs, rollo, allen, mitchell, low (on for wilson), mellor.

Crowd 116. Strong line up, guess touch of after the Lord Mayor shows exerts on Saturday. Hope its better on Saturday. Results still contrive to keep us involved with Havant losing.

Re: Somerset Cup Semi-Final
Cant recall a single shot on target - apart from the own goal! You couldn't make it up.........
Stearn decided not to pass to other players first half and second half they responded by not passing to him. Best bit of the night was the loud argument between simmo and stearn about passing, closely followed by Low being adjudged to have committed a foul every time he went near to the ball.
The game was a first class example of why there are better things in life to do than watch a Somerset Cup game even for an old die hard supporter like me. I passed the time by counting the crowd and I made it 132 - with about 10% supporting Taunton. Even if it was a training session I am not sure we learnt anything other than we are good at head tennis. My man of the match was Dave Pratt , ran the front line all night despite not being given any service.

I'd struggle to pick out a MoM. Highlight for me was the crowd descending into laughter when the goal went in - a first for me!

Re: Somerset Cup Semi-Final
Only two players came out with credit tonight, my man of the match Sekani and Dan Ball.
Too many players didn't perform and for me wouldn't be on contract next season.
As for Ross, he needs to learn when to do the tricks and when not to, inside your own penalty area is not the place. Sekani is correct, Ross needs to learn when to pass, poor tonight especially second half.
Awful, dire sums up the team performance.

surely not! no doubt his fan club will be on here very soon to reprimand you for such observations...
sorry it was such a miserable night for the loyal fans who braved it (and missed 2 excellent games on tv for their troubles). i gave up on this competition after a pathetic display at frome a few years back and have never once regretted it.
