Havant draw and go down, Margate survive. St.Albans win 4-0 in front of over 1300, truly a great escape.

Good afternoon, and well done Gary. 17 games, Won 6 drawn 6, lost 5. Sorry to see the lovely Havant go down Laughing Well done Scott Wilson for scoring again for Weston. I only realised after the game why Margate, 0-2 down, were 'wasting time' in the corner of the pitch - to stop City scoring a 3rd, which would have put Margate down.

Considering we had nothing to play for, that was quite an entertaining game. And what with Margate really going for it in the second half, the atmospheric thunder storm, news of goals elsewhere and good support from both sets of fans it meant a frustrating season ended positively.
There were a couple of pages on the National South forum recently about the Margate Banshee. I wondered what all the fuss was about until today - what a voice that woman has!

That hammering against Havant in August, plus the last minute goal at Westleigh Park, made a huge difference.

As Dave mentioned on another thread I can see them still earning a reprieve somehow. Gosport are in trouble, aren't they?

The 6-0 loss v St. Albans 2 weeks ago turned round the goal difference significantly.

Glad that Margate stayed up. Their fans were good value and a Mo-B-Crew member's Dad is a fan and often pops to see City.

When Owers took over this is exactly what I thought the team was capable of. Well done Gary for restoring the confidence of the players.

Well done too for giving some of the youngsters game time. I'd hope that they can be brought on further next season when they are playing in a team that is not looking over its shoulder at relegation.
