Who will we get in the cup/trophy 15/16?
With the 2nd qualifying round of the cup being made tomorrow, it's time to relaunch the premier forum compo! Last season's was a marathon, with Beau Nash winning the title amidst much controversy. The idea remains the same - to predict who we will draw in each round of the cup and trophy. Points are awarded, equating to the distance the club we actually draw is from your prediction (according to Google Maps). For example, if we draw Truro, but Ashley predicts Workington, his score for that round is 455. But if his prediction was Tiverton, score would be 115.
Last season's compo became too complicated with average points awarded to those who forgot to enter. To simplify things, your accumulated score will be the average of all your entries. So if Ashley's first 4 scores are 455, 507, 366, 419, his average will be 437. Although you won't be penalised for missing a round, you will need at least 2 predictions to qualify for an average (to prevent Yuffie simply entering the draw for the Trophy semi final)
Tomorrow's draw will be regionalised - at this stage last year we drew Poole.

(Although I fully expect we'll actually get someone half decent from our league, gosh darn it!)

They've won their last eight matches in all competitions. Top of the South West Peninsula League. Ground looks quite picture-esque.
Their goalkeeper is also 46 year-old Kevin Miller.

Same level as Western League Division 1 so can't complain too much about that draw.
New ground as well for me.
And I imagine Andy Watkins is pleased with the draw.

Phillips will feel like a spring chicken.
The only time I saw Steve White looking young was when he scored a penalty for Cardiff against Peter Shilton who was playing for Orient and was easily 10 years older than White.

mmm If it's Bodmin I could visit relatives. I'll have to keep it quiet.

Yes same here, my lot are in Padstow.
Good trip for Bath City railfans. Hop on the steam/heritage railway at BR Bodmin Parkway and the ground is close to the old station used by them.

The 3rd qualifying round is on 10th October - this season's non-league day, with the potential to add a few onto gates that day.
An extra incentive to win this and then hopefully get a home tie in the next round.

I would imagine the biggest incentive for the players who were here last year is to make up for that dreadful display at Thurrock. With the commitment shown in the Trophy run, I'm hoping we will win through to the competition proper this season..

That seems an odd date to choose given that quite a few non-league teams won't have a game that day.
I was surprised that the international weekend just gone wasn't the non-league day.

Agreed, but Saturday was a cup day as well. We clearly don't have enough international breaks!
