Yes, excellent news. They might not get everything right but they have both served the club well over a long period and deserve this recognition. Of course, what we really need is for it to be Manager of the Season.

Well done the management, some astute signings and re-signings has yielded impressive rewards.

Can't fault you there. Last season's slow starters and seeming bad signings, McCootie and Chas, have started strongly. Still think that they came up lucky with Chas but still...

Marc, whilst there have clearly been lots of positives this season, I have to say I disagree with your statement about Chas. He seemed to find his slot last season - by accident or design - but this season he has the one player who I feel has actually gone backwards. He seems off the pace and unable to read the game like we know he can. He gets caught in possession so his distribution is not as good. We've seen deft touches or a decent long range accurate passes last season - which earned him the nickname Chas Pirlo in some quarters - and its what made him hard to play against. Not really seen either so far in my opinion.

That's a reasonable point.

Pleased to see reward for all the hard work behind the scenes.
Certain irony in that at pre-season game someone wearing a "Back the Bid" t-shirt was canvassing with the sales talk of "support the bid its the only way we will get rid of the current management duo"
To be clear I did support the bid but not for that reason.

Someone said that at an academy game after we had one our first four games. I just walked off.

I think I can guess who that was

We managed to avoid the curse of the manager of the month award.
I dread seeing our manager getting it as I have seen so many sides dip in form immediately after it is given, even though they deserve it.

Weston last week was also technically his 150th match in charge, although seeing as in this time that includes some Somerset Premier Cup games which I doubt he even attended, I'm not sure we could really mark the occasion.

I am surprised at that. Firstly, I haven't heard it at all. To be honest, the management of the team hasn't been that close to the Bid's thinking. Secondly, as no-one can decide anything until after the Bid is successful as the members vote for the board and the board decides on management.

Archie insisting that it was an award for the whole team.
