WSM Coach is CANCELLED
Hi all,
Sorry to be the barer of bad news for some but due to a lack of interest there will NOT be a coach running to WSM on Bank Holiday Monday (31/08/15).
Bas tried to book the small coach (16 seater) but it was unavailable which means he needed at least 24 full paying adults or the equivalent to make it break even on the large coach (48 seater). Unfortunately this wasn't met by 7pm tonight so he has regrettably had to cancel the booking.
Sorry for any inconvenience caused and feel free to contact Bas for any further information.
The next two away trips (after WSM) are:
Gosport Borough - Tues 15th Sept
Maidstone United - Sat 19th Sept
See the Supporters Club forum pages for prices and times
For a full sized coach (48 seater) to run there needs to be at least 24 full paying adults or the equivalent, so please try and support the Supporters Club coach when and where you can. The Supporters Club also funds the First team away travel so the more people that used the coach the better.
Once the large coach bills are paid for the year then the Supporters Club can start to fund other areas of the club for improvement, so it's a win win for Bath City FC.

Weston coach
It's not really lack of interest, but just that so many fans will find it easier to travel independently. I expect to see a good crowd there.

Especially after the bizarre route the driver took the last time I went on the coach. Into Bristol up the M32 along the M4 and down the M5.

Was it to give Phil time to get the Earl Gray on?

When will we know if the game is called off?

The norm for weston would be some time after 2pm

Weather looks like cloudy, but no rain http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2634308 We shan't need the floodlights, so it's difficult to imagine how they will call the game off.

Re: WSM Coach is CANCELLED
Google precipitation rates rain highly (90%) overnight, reducing to 30% by 11am, down to 16% at 2pm. Doesn't give the amount. Looking that BBC, it'll be quite a bit for Weston to handle! BUT, they'll know in the early morning if it's playable (it should be, in August!).
What are the penalties for late cancellation on clubs? Presumably Financial. Given their record, they need to be clamped down on!!!

And high tide isn't until 19.00 so unless the kickoff gets delayed into the evening I think we'll be OK.

High tide in Weston means you can just about see the sea with the naked eye.

I think the departure time was down as 12.30pm from Twerton tomorrow. That just seems crazily early, there's nothing to do near the ground (as far as I'm aware). I'd aim to get there as close to kick-off as possible. I can remember arriving at about 7.30 for a midweek game there season before last.
I'm not going tomorrow, here's hoping we keep the run going.

A trip to a seaside town on a bank holiday suggests that it's wise to allow for traffic congestion. Yes, the place is awful but passengers would be more concerned if they missed the first 15 minutes and Pratt's hat trick.

Re: WSM Coach is CANCELLED
Last time I was there it was a sunny 01 January and the peat bog goalmouths caused the cancellation so no chance of playing today.
What time is the pitch inspection?
What time will it be called off?

I guess, but if any tourists want to head to Weston today I'll be concerned! I'm in the office which was more appealling.

I'd suggest taking the back way in, down the A368 past Chew Lake and up to the ground from the south. The slightly longer, but usually quicker, motorway route is likely to be horrible today.

As it was we missed the first ten minutes due to the queue that went all the way round the car park on account of them only having one turnstile open !
