What a great performance pulling it back from 3 goals down and having the better of the chances.

Andy Watkins was MOM which was just about deserved on his second half performance despite missing two that he should have scored but there were good displays by just about everyone who got on the pitch.

Well done to the lads. Of course you can't read anything into it for the season ahead but they have more than held their own against the three league sides.

Yes the second half got quite competitive.  An agreeable evening.  Enjoyable game to watch and an agreeable result.  Matthews looks a good prospect.

Great entertainment - even I enjoyed it! If only all friendlies were as competitive as that - a really good work out for our players.

Really enjoyed tonight. We looked all at sea and disjointed in the first half, as if the team hadn't met each other before. A typical pre-season friendly in other words. In saying that, the second Argyle goal never crossed the line and I still don't know what happened with their third. A misunderstanding of the offside rule, I think.

Our first goal was the goal of the match and we fully deserved the other two. We could have even gone ahead with many of Pratt's chance which he did well to get in the right position for.

Fair play to Argyle's supporters, they turned out in good numbers and were of good humour. Apparently, apart from Forest Green Rovers, we are their biggest friendly.

We should sign Matthews, and I really like the play of Jon Davies. Thought he could have been man of the match.... was Archie there? Maybe we play better without him

Yes can't see one turning up before the season opener.

I think people forget how physical our league can be. I do hope I am wrong.........

A good evenings entertainment and great generosity shown by the Argle fans to the Bid buckets.

A nice selection of pics from a Plymouth fans site below - lots of ground and fans shots..

Yes some good photos there, must use a different camera to our guys............

The good scoreliines against the League teams mask the less than full force play even when a bit competitive. Still concerned that the reality of the competing athletic 6ft 6 opposition will find us wanting. As against Ferriby, we can only play when we have the ball. Adie still looking according to the Chronicle piece.

The guy taking photos next to me had one of those lenses that was so big he probably would have got a close-up of my flat two miles away from where he was sat in the ground.

Teenagers Liam and Sam have been busy at the game, producing this match report and video:

Fair play to Andy Watkins too for agreeing to be interviewed. M Tanner Sports is still a work in progress, even after a year, so please bare with the look.

It can only get better right?

Some alternative views of Martin's disbelief at Argyle's first goal in that photo collection there. I reckon we could build up a 3D reconstruction from all the different evidence.
