Perhaps money would be an issue going by how he's departed them?...

Re: Weston 'part company' with Laird
Don't forget they lost at home to Brislington in the FA Cup and have been on the wrong end of a few thrashings, including 6-0 against Ebbsfleet (I hope I'm not tempting fate ahead of this evening). If Laird was in charge of us and we lost in either of those scenarios, the forum would be meltdown.
I didn't read the comment on WSM's Facebook page, but am told they referred to us as "big spending Bath City". If the figures quoted in that statement on their website are true, I find the petty Facebook comment amusing.

weston fans have a huge chip on their shoulder regarding bath city. before it closed, their forum was always amusing to read whenever a subject relating to us came up. presumably the same can be found on the facebook page...

Glad other people have noticed. I thought their behaviour in and around our game with us the other week was absolutely embarrassing. People have moaned about our PR but having the announcer at Weston do the whole "remember that Chas Hemmings is OUR player" announcement before the game followed by basically making up a load of sponsors saying he's man of the match was childish to say the least. That and the leaving the music on for ages after they'd gone 2-0 up, clearly deliberately. Not sure why they seem keen to start a rivalry which doesn't exist.
Yes, the "big spending" quote and slating Ross Stearn for his challenge on their player (when it was actually Adam Connolly) was also pathetic. I don't remember reading their forum before but their antics recently have been unprofessional in my opinion. Fair enough if some of their fans think we have a bottomless pit of cash (ha!) but for an official page for their club saying it is not on.

Weston-super-Mare FC @WestonSMareFC 14m
Craig Laird has been reinstated as the manager of @WestonSMareFC. Not the best 24 hours in our history.

I thought this was a joke at first, making fun of the whole Brian McDermott farce at Leeds. Turns out its the truth

Maybe or maybe not true... Weston-super-Mare FC @WestonSMareFC 12h
Please, do follow @WSM_AFCOfficial - we're not saying don't. But you don't have to unfollow one to follow the other. #UnofficialSeagulls
What a shambles, at least our "unofficial Forum" is unofficial...

Pantomime
Are they the hokey cokey club with its in, out, in approach, or just a pantomime, or a simple farce?
Clearly something fragile there, perhaps in time he will be looking to move east to a more stable club.....................
