Did we effectively rest 10 first choice? Only Walshy started.....

Walsh didn't have to travel far. Clearly Adie and Archie are mindful of the effect of all the travelling.
The more I think about it the more impressive it was last night. Virtually an entire team of youngsters. Clearly the pitch played a massive part so they defended really well in the first half.

Re: Whitehawk match
Listened to first part of game on BCIR when delayed start was highlighted. One has to question the integrity of the referee in allowing it to happen.
It's not gamesmanship it's certainly disrespectful to Bath City that is a club that goes the extra mile to welcome other clubs to its home.
Perhaps the handful of Whitehawk supporters are used to that sort of behaviour and don't see how it reflects on their little club.
Perhaps it may have served to help our (increased) squad feel more determined in the future.
- Starting Saturday.

Everything one reads and hears about Whitehawk suggests that they will fit in very well in Conf Prem should they get promoted.

Re: Whitehawk match
It's clearly all instructions from King. That bloke is utter poison.
As for their two players booked for diving - the first was a definite foul by Adelsbury, I was stood about two feet away and there was contact. I was about to moan about it was harsh to book him as it was only a trip, nothing malicious. Second looked like a dive and the way our players reacted it appears clear that the referee was correct.

Re: Whitehawk match
The referee told our players that the bell would go six minutes before KO and he'd like the teams to start lining up after then, assume within two minutes or so.
Our players were waiting in the 'tunnel' (actually they were outside because the tunnel is possibly the narrowest in non-league) whilst Whitehawk were nowhere to be seen. They slowly started to file out whilst we were still waiting, they ended up all out by just before 7.45 so it kicked off a few minutes late.
It was just an odd night in general. One of the most bizarre starting line-ups I can remember, albeit completely understandable, and after being battered in the first half we could have nicked an undeserved point. The surroundings are very Western League and the attendance wouldn't have looked too out of place there. The pitch is an absolute joke. I remember Gosport had a rant recently after visiting there and although I'm not keen on their manager he was spot on - they should be spending their invested money on improving facilities, not on the team. Unfortunately this has the makings of yet another King disaster, following the likes of Lewes, Northwich and Macclesfield who seem to fall into financial messes with him in charge, all collapses as soon as he's gone.

Re: Whitehawk match
Let's hope you're right! Would have been hilarious if the ref had allowed the only team ready at 7.45 to ko and score.
