I don’t think additions to the squad once the season starts are usually a solution. The strikers who could do a job are on contracts. Do we really want another Alabi or Vassell? (although no doubt I’ll be told they did so much work for others despite their goal shyness)

I think you've got it right with those two.

Generally we bring in loan players to fill a gap during the season. I don't think we have a gap at the moment, with players coming back from injury.
