I was informed by the Club that a longstanding supporter and former director has passed away. A close friend of Bob has provided this tribute...

"Bob McGregor supported Bath City for nearly 60 years. Born in Scotland he moved to Bath in the 1960's .
He served on the Board of Directors for a number of years in the 1980's.
Well known for his strong views from his regular seat in the stand, he was particularly welcoming and hospitable to visiting supporters. He enjoyed many away trips but would prefer to use his passion for driving and go by car rather than the coach.
He rarely missed a home game and was often joined by his son and grandson. He loved Bath City and gave generously to the club over many years".

I was critical last season of the apparent indifference to the match shown by many sitting in the stand. That was something which could never be levelled at Bob! The Club has lost another loyal supporter.

For those who knew him, the funeral service will take place at 12.15pm on Friday 21st July (his 85th Birthday) at Haycombe Crematorium and afterward back to Bath City.

RIP Bob

Sorry to hear this. Used to play golf at the approach course at Vic Park as a member of a club that played there Thursday evenings. Bob was the life and soul of the club and a good companion/opponent. Saw him at TP now and then and still a great bloke.
RIP Bob.
