Great radio commentary. Sounded like the lads played really well and deserved something from the game but one of those chances has to go in. One of these games it will all click and we will hammer a team.

Might help if we played our only two goalscorers together from the start. Really surprised we left out Fletcher - perhaps part of agreement with Rovers for Ryan Jones is that we have to play him so Fletch had to make way. Presumably there is a similar agreement with Exeter for Rowe...

17 defeats so far, six losses from the last 8 games. Relegation form. The club seem to be more interested in providing artisan food outlets and bars within the ground rather than solving what goes on, on the pitch

I think the test of where we are will come next month. After Ebbsfleet we have Welling away and then Slough and Hemel at home. Have to agree with Bob Chester on commentary today when he said that we need to be looking at getting at least 7 points from those games.

We’ll need some goals to meet that target. The key for me is for both Cooke and Fletcher to regain their goal scoring form.

I agree with the point Jerry made in his interview that you can’t target certain games and disregard others. Remember when we went to Dorking last season and no one gave us a prayer and yet we achieved what was probably the shock result of the curtailed season. Ebbsfleet have picked up another poor result today away from home and we should come out of the blocks against them in two weeks time rather than a mindset of `they’re one of the top teams so a point would be a bonus’

Difficult to regain previous scoring form when there are minimal opportuities being created from midfield or from out wide. Or when main scorers only manage 90 minutes between them!
Also doesn't heip when Cooke spends most of his on-field time out wide.
It's also a problem when Smith & Raynes have played most of the season in mid-field and have a minimal scoring record this season.
We had plenty of possession against Dartford but never felt we could turn it into goal scoring opportunities.
Don't want to agree with Rodney but something needs to change to turn performances into results.

All fair points, Peter, but Rodney is spot on about relegation form. Due to train cancellations I couldn’t make it yesterday but it all sounded very familiar.
Well done to those fans who braved the conditions to support the team.

Goalscorers in the league this season
Cooke 11
Fletcher 8
Dyer 3
Frear 3
Touray, Batten, Holness, OG 1
Only 7 players have scored a goal. To be fair Raynes has only ever scored a handful of goals for us, but obviously we are missing Smith's contribution. He has played well recently but has never looked like scoring. He was part of a 3 man attack yesterday but still didn't get on the end of anything and I would imagine it will take him time to refind his attacking instinct after playing as a battling midfielder all season.
If we are going to benefit from his goals we are going to have to give him time up front. He is not the only one who could do with a goal but we know he can bang them in at this level.
Agree about Cooke playing out wide too. He needs to be on the end of deliveries into the box not helping to set up the delivery. Give the centre halves a hard time.
