Just reading that Peter Hayes, who played over 200 times for City in the early 80s, has passed way. RIP Peter

Re: Peter Hayes
Very sad news. According to the website’s archive Peter made 238 appearances….
Peter was plucked from Bristol Senior League football, where he was playing for Robinsons during the 1979 close season. He went on to spend over five seasons at Twerton Park, even though he was transfer-listed during the summer of 1983. Toward the end of his City career he became the target of Twerton Park boo-boys and joined Forest Green Rovers in a loan swap for Jeff Meacham. Left the club permanently for Yeovil Town in the summer of 1985.
