Listened to the game on BCIR. Good we won without too much alarm. A little concerned though, that we didn't create much after Touray went off.

Great start with Cooke goal but Touray injury disrupted us and we couldn't take advantage. They created nothing either so rest of half a stalemate. Similar 2nd half, disappointing lack of creativity and deep defence but got the result. Wood excellent at full back, indeed whole defence played well. Smith and Frear anonymous tbh but early days and delayed arrival, max points from 2 we'll take.

Yes winning ugly part of the recipe.
Wood is a real find but he’s been called up for Wales under 19 I think so not available for the Dartford game. Dan Ball will surely fit back in.

Always difficult for players to be sat on the coach for hours and not get a proper warm up.

A couple more call-ups (Touray Wales, Holness Jamaica, Cooke England) and presumably it'll be off.
Wood was terrific. Lots of good performances but he pipped it for me.

Agree about Wood. He’s been the stand out performer in both matches for me. I sat in line with our penalty area in the second half and really admired the organisation and discipline of our defence. Very encouraging with the Dartford game on the horizon.
Well done to all the fans who made the long trip. It sounds like there were difficulties whether using road or train. August away fixtures in the south east are often a nightmare - fortunately that’s our last in this holiday season.
