Vote of no confidence
The vote of no confidence in the NL Chairman and Board took place today with the following result:
National League: For 0 Against 21 Abstained 2
North: For 16 Against 4 Abstained 2
South: For 17 Against 4
The motion failed because North and South only had a total of 8 votes between them again.

Re: Vote of no confidence
The FA should intervene if this hopeless Board see today’s result as the green light to continue as before. Only an archaic voting system permits a majority of clubs to seek change but in vain.

Re: Vote of no confidence
Surely no one can be surprised with that outcome.
As has been said before, the full time ex-EFL clubs in the top flight have nothing in common with most of the clubs at our level.
The vote was a,complete waste of time.

Re: Vote of no confidence
Wait until you see the statement issued by the league after the vote!
"An Extraordinary General Meeting has been held by The National League today at the request of 14 Member Clubs.
The meeting was called for all Member Clubs to consider and vote on the resolution: 'The meeting has no confidence in the Chairman and the Board'.
The voting results were as follows:
Votes for the resolution: 7
Votes against the resolution: 22
Abstained: 2
Therefore, the resolution has not passed. Whilst the result is convincing, The National League Board acknowledges the importance of working collectively with Member Clubs to navigate effectively out of the pandemic.
We look forward to the conclusion of the 2020/21 season and working with Member Clubs as we can prepare for a successful 2021/22 campaign".
As you can imagine, this has gone down really well!

Re: Vote of no confidence
I wonder what changed the minds of all those 'big’ clubs who spent months complaining about how the autumn grants were divided up. Hopefully their return to the EFL will not happen too soon and they can enjoy many more seasons working collectively with the NL Board which they are propping up.

Re: Vote of no confidence
I posted this in the Facebook Group yesterday:
The NL constitution, in terms of vote weighting, is undemocratic and needs to be reformed.
NL Premier clubs are mostly full time so have no connection with NL N/S. There should be a separation of league management.
In response to the statement - A greater misrepresentation would be difficult to find. Typical of the establishment to "rig" the vote.
Well done LB for following this issue.
