Graham Day
Heard the sad news tonight that our former player Graham Day has passed away. He made 53 appearances for us back in the early 80s. Here’s what it says about Graham on the website archive...
Central-defender Graham had spent the majority of his career with Bristol Rovers after starting in the Bristol Senior League Hanham Athletic and Bristol St George. Also had a number of spell in the US with the Portland Timbers, and it was from there that City signed him in September 1979. After only 19 games though he returned across the Atlantic. He returned to City for the 1983-84 season only to be injured in the opening game. This set the tone for the season and in the final league match he suffered a broken leg which sidelined him for the whole of the next campaign. He wouldn't make another first team appearance and joined Forest Green Rovers in 1986.
Condolences to Graham’s family.
