Weymouth at home 7th March
Hopefully Weymouth will bring at least a hundred fans to this one.
Neither City or muff have played a competitive game against a mutually despised team from south Somerset for almost two decades now

Muff fan in peace. We should have a decent turn out on Saturday , really looking forward to it. I reckon we'll both be playing against the green & white shite before too long.

No we’ll both pass them as they go down!
Should be a very good match on Saturday. Our manager rates you very highly after our visit in August when we had to pull out all the stops to get a draw.
Were you at the match at the old Rec ground on Boxing Day 1977?

It'll be refreshing to see a team worse at penalties than us. Saw the highlights, laughed that Whelan put one expertly in the top corner then decided to totally change for the other and make it a comfortable save.

I was indeed ! Remember Richard Bourne scoring with a fantastic header , something he did regularly for us in later years

If you can beat missing 7 out of 8 , then you are truly bad. We did beat Maidstone 5-1 btw , so the missed pens were'nt exactly crucial.

Interesting piece in 442 magazine on how Weymouth train - link below. Shows that even at Step 6 there's one hell of a commitment from players and management. I hope City can match this?

Yes, I’ve got a vague recollection of that goal. How far out do you think Sir Richard was from goal when he met the cross?

I thought it was more a question of how far away he started his run!

It's common knowledge that he was in Southampton.

A couple of yards outside the corner of the penalty area , from a deep cross , straight in to the top corner !

Your memory's playing tricks with you, Ben! It's an accepted fact on here that he was in a different time zone.
Well played by your team yesterday - I wouldn't be surprised if we meet again this season...

I wished i was when that goal went in ! Two well drilled teams , fair result i reckon. We had a great day out , met some nice people. Good luck with Twerton Park , proper football ground , see you in the play-offs.................(probably)

I was there. That'll be your 7-2 win in the season you pipped us to the SL title.comrade powell wrote:No we’ll both pass them as they go down!

Didn't realise Bourney scored for you that day. He later went on to become a Terras legend in our early Alliance Premier League days.
