City 1 (Straker 3m pen) v Truro 1 full time att 1408
Watkins, Hinds and Mann start. Brunt and Stearn on bench. Frankie and Kevin meeting the kids.
City pay for missed chances.
Crazy day as none of the top half win and Torquay lose at home to WSM.

Two points thrown away. At 1 up we were playing as though game was won and paid for it, not enough urgency and trying to walk the ball into the net. Need a striker who is an out and out goal scorer. Hinds is quick but return is poor in relation to number of scoring opportunities he gets. Could have been worse as Truro missed clear chance in injury time.

should of been out of sight before Truro scored
a very similar game to the Slough game but different out come
the way the results went it was an opportunity wasted

My criticism of Hinds is he has to stop picking up such ridiculous yellow cards. That’s three for blocking a free-kick deliberately. He knows exactly what he’s doing and fair play to the ref for punishing him straight away. It was the 96th minute, fine. The 12th? Stupid.
There was then an incident second half when, to his credit, he chased for about sixty yards with their right wing back, could couldn’t tackle him as he would have been off.
Something which needs to be drummed into him because I think he’s a very talented player who is a real handful for teams, but less so if he’s walking a tightrope for so long.

Disagree freeview. Truro hardly had a chance and we wasted loads. We cannot keep wasting these chances. We all know that if you don't take them you will be punished. We got away with it last week but those chickens came home to roost today.
I suspect Hinds doesn't know you are supposed to retreat 10 yards from a free kick. And his miss gave Truro belief that they could get something out of the game.
Thought Brunt was awesome when he came on but the chances aren't falling for him the way they were at the start of the season.

Whilst I don't think we played as well as we can yesterday I'm really not sure what game Freeview was watching. The only really clearcut chance I can remember Truro having in the first half was the one Watto cleared off the line. By contrast we had two good chances - Hinds and Mann - plus a few decent half chances. So if any side could have been 3-1 up at HT it was us.
The second half was even more one-sided but as people have said if you don't take your chances it only needs one lucky break for the opposition - which having just watched their goal is exactly what they got - and it's 1-1.
As for anyone who came down for the first time because of Family Day I think they saw a decent game but if they are only going to come back if we win 5-0 then perhaps they aren't ever going to be long-term fans.

Definitely two points dropped. We should easily have been 3-0 up before their goal. We really lived on our wits for the last 10-15mins of the game, and let them back into what should have been a dominant Bath display overall.
Very encouraging crowd. It didn't look anywhere near 1,400, but that might have bene because there were so many kids knocking around. Great to see a lot of families there who were clearly not regulars. From listening to a few of them around me, they seemed to enjoy their day out. I'd say we'll definitely get some of them back again - even with the result. Great to see the old Sainsbury's/family stand full as well.

For the crowd, I think it was largely the volume in the stands that boosted it. The family stand looked packed, so that's 2-300 alone. There were more in the main stand than normal, I had a family next to me including one lad that spent most of the second half knocking on the press box door. Didn't open it, takes some force, I would have send the poor kid toppling to the ground.

Freeview must clearly have been at a different game to the rest of us!
As Yuffie said, Truro's only chance in the first half was when Watto cleared off the line, and Adam Mann and Freddy Hinds could have put us 3-0 up by the break, although Truro did have quite a bit of possession.
We could easily have had a least three in the second half as well - Freddy had his two chances and the Truro keeper made a good save to prevent an own goal. Although we were probably a bit off the pace it was a game we should have won, but the longer it went on it seemed inevitable that Truro would get an equaliser.
Very hard to judge crowds these days - I was surprised that it was over 800 last week and thought yesterday was probably about 1100. It was good to see the stand packed and the enclosure looked fuller than I have seen it for a while. The next two Saturday games should also hopefully see four figures, as both Wealsdtone and Woking are usually well supported away from home.
