The most important and best supported forum compo is the cup/trophy draw. The tweak to the rules will give all of us a better chance of scoring (unless your name begins with A)

Now we know that Mr Powell has a sense of humour, otherwise he would not have written this. The cup/trophy draw is just a guessing came - completely devoid of skill, and only more popular because of its novelty attraction. It does not even remotely come close to being the most important Forum compo'. That label belongs to the two surviving weekly compo's (Guess The Gate and 1st Goal Scorer), which both command some element of skill - with the first mentioned proving to be the more popular based upon its number of regular participants. So congratulations on winning it.

Not so. You can substantially improve your chances of winning by picking a team with lots of other teams nearby. It is only luck if you pick Truro and we get Truro.

Hence the sooner you can get your entry in the best chance you will have. This favours the competition runner.
