Bob Gilfillan
Ray Franks has informed me of the death of one of our former players, centre forward Bob Gilfillan. Apparently he lived in the same village as Ray and would have been one of our oldest ex players at the age of 92. Here's what it says in the archive section of the website...
Bob was a former Worcester City player who signed for City during the summer of 1955. Made an appearance in goal when the club's four keepers were unavailable against Clandown in the FA Cup, which City won 4-0.
He played in 27 matches scoring 6 goals. His funeral is on 28 June.
RIP Bob

Re: Bob Gilfillan
Was groundsman at Ralph Allen School when Geoff Todd was centre forward for the school team. He was a proud Scotsman who once played in the same team as the great Jim Baxter of Glasgow Rangers. Had a daughter Jean who went to Ralph Allen School. Remembered as a great guy.
