Whiteout - Eastbourne Borough
In all probability is this weekends game gonna be off?
A lot of good work has gone into the family day and it seems as a club we'll be stymied again. If Saturday doesn't go ahead what are the options for this promotion this season? Is there any value in re-organising for one of the last games to hopefully pick up on the excitement of playoffs?

Thanks Kevin. Probably one of the few times that Twerton Park is colder than Ice Station Zebra Priory Lane!

It's outrageous that the game has been called off. I have just checked my outside thermometer and the temperature today has soared all the way up to -2. When I was a lad ( back in the good old days when we had proper winters that lasted five months ) a few snowflakes wouldn't have stopped us playing. I remember playing in goal once when the ball was coated in ice, blah, blah, blah.

Eeeh, I dreamed of a five-month winter. We had three-day summers and two of them were rainy.
I once broke me ankle on a rutted frozen pitch in't second minute and played on for 88, and it were uphill both 'alves. Them were proper days.
I only moved to softy Eastbourne cos I thought it were on the Costas. But turned out it were Costa Geriatrica.

Every game postponed now. The only team seemingly unhappy is Truro, their chairman has had a few digs on Social Media.

I remember that game Kevin ... It was a classic! ... Barnstoneworth United v Denley Moor Academicals, Yorkshire Premier League, 1935

Oh what memories and such carefree happy days despite all the grinding hardship but you just try telling that to todays youngsters, they won't believe you because nostalgia just isn't what it used to be.

And I'll be the supporter. (I won't need stewarding.)
