Around 25 City fans there. Bitterly cold day with difficult wind blowing across pitch. Batten's goal was rather a fluke as the ball cannoned off his head from a defensive clearance. As in that cup game, our goal came on the half hour and seemed to wake up the home team. They were certainly the stronger in the second half and perhaps we were lucky that their leading scorer was unavailable. Southwood could do little about the equaliser which followed the cross of the match and he made a fine block from a breakaway following a comedy of errors on the half way line.

Rigg was very unwise to dive in as he did considering he was already on a yellow but we coped well for the remainder of the match. We badly need a win against Eastbourne after dropping 4 points this last week.

Nowhere near as bad. Diving in was perhaps not the best way to describe the foul on Saturday. We're gentlemen at Bath
