It isn't too late...
...to make that run to the play-offs!
I was comparing our record this season to date with 2009/10 when we got promoted the last time, and there isn't a great deal of difference at this stage.
At the end of January 2010 we were 10th with 38 points from 25 games (W10 D8 L7) whereas at the moment we are 11th with 39 points from 28 (W10 D9 L9) - this season the goals record is F37 A36 while at the end of January 2010 it was F43 A33.
The last 17 games of 2009/10 secured only 4 less points than the first 25 with a record of P10 D4 L3, but only 23 goals were scored in those 17 games with just 13 conceded. The 3 defeats came in row in March 2010 and with 6 games left City were still only 8th. They won 5 on the trot to sneak into 4th which they held on to with a draw on the final day.
I thought this post might inject a bit of optimism after the disappointment of Tuesday (well, not just Tuesday...) and show that all is not necessarily lost, although with only 4 wins out of 16 since JG took over having to potentially win 10 of the last 14 looks a lot to ask for at the moment, and by this time tomorrow Hampton may well have made it even harder.

Looking at those games there were quite a few goals from Darren Edwards and Kaid. Just can't see who will do that at the moment.
