1-1 L/Evans from a pen.
Jarvis on for McCootie who had just been booked.

Seems that way but 1 up v Chelmsford. Artus puts us 2-1 up tonight.

In my opinion you can only play Naby in one position and that's down the middle. There's no point asking him to do anything else - he's not versatile. So it is easy to make him look like a muppet.

Having to do a lot of defending but scoring consistently.

Great win. Need to grind out a few more wins like that now.

A great relief to get the win. Well done all and especially the fans who travelled a long way on a Tuesday night

Vanarama website has Straker as scoring the winner.

T'was Artus, ran across the free-kick, diverted it in with his chest.
At least that's what he said anyway. It definitely took a wicked deflection.

Straker took the free kick which was deflected into the corner of the net. I went to Specsavers and thought it came off a Truro player, but others, and we had a healthy number down there, were sure it was Frankie.stillmanjunior wrote:T'was Artus, ran across the free-kick, diverted it in with his chest.

It completely baffled me at first as I didn't see Frankie at all, view was obstructed. But he wheeled away in celebration and confirmed after that he got the final touch.

Wow.......fantastic effort against a side that was no doubt full of confidence after their own start to the season. Well done to all involved and a great reward for those who travelled and supported the lads.
Feeling a lot brighter this morning than for this time last week for some reason ! Lets keep it going against Havant on Sat who I watched at Chippenham.
PS. We need to be prepared for another team who seem long throw specialists as well !!

Presume McCootie withdrawn early due to booking rather than injury?

Stillman - you were talking with Bob on air about people getting fit and in particular Lucas. Why on earth would a 21 year old footballer not be fit? Has he been injured?

The character in the squad was certainly evident last night. As a spectacle the game was pretty dire but the determination shown by our players after conceding a rather fortunate goal to not let a precious lead slip should give fans a lot to be optimistic about. And there was a fantastic turnout of City supporters last night who celebrated for several minutes at the end with the players.
And to continue the positive theme, we've scored in every match so far - our friends up the A4 only in one!
On a less happy note - Bas was not there to witness the win as his mother sadly passed away yesterday. I'm sure all supporters will have him in their thoughts as he was devoted to her. Please see the request I've posted in the 'watching City away' thread.

I see the team start winning as soon as I stop going. That's great because I won't be at H&W either.
