Chris, the Berkeleys coach driver
Those of you who travel on the supporters coach will know Chris, the driver. I'm sorry to pass on the very sad news that Chris passed away very suddenly on Friday evening.
He had driven our coaches for several years, being a regular during our time in Conference Premier. Although he had driven the team coach as a rule for the past two seasons, he still occasionally drove us, the last time I believe to Farnborough. He also drove the independently organised coach to Cheddar recently. As the organiser of the coaches, I always appreciated his friendly manner and how he would go out of his way to meet our various requests. One example was to Dorchester last season, when he offered to drop us at the top of the town (not ideal for a large coach) so that some of us could visit the nearby pubs. And whichever coach he drove, we would always see him behind the goal during the match supporting the team.
The SC have passed on their condolences to Berkeleys and I will post any funeral details when they are known.

Always very friendly, and a 'fixture' at away matches. It's very sad news indeed.

I concur with everything said about Chris on here. It was very sad news which was felt with deep sorrow amongst many at TP on Saturday as the news spread. Heartfelt condolences to his family, and to his close friends like Robbie at Berkeleys, who have lost such a nice man.
