Great find on YouTube...
https://youtu.be/iOlKC6fQWs4?t=156 who is this City supporter donning the blue number 6?
And the former City player donning red 11?
Might be more fans/players I've missed...

The ground is Bishop Sutton and the #11 is Gary Smart. Don't know who blue 6 is though.
Blue 9 might be Super Scotty Partridge

Wasn't that the second or third time City players featured on Casualty? I seem to remember Adie Mings being on it in the 90s (as an injured rugby player?)

I assume the 'directors cut' features them going to fetch the ball after Basil's wayward pass and later Basil in the changing rooms attempting to collect the £2 match subs and taking so long in the shower and collecting up the kit that most people had left. Happy days!

Adie Mings was in the opening credits playing rugby for several series.
And I've found it!

Surely there's a programme article in this? Bas and the other people involved recounting their 5 minutes of casualty fame.....

Blimey there's a blast from the past. I was the goalie at the start of the football scene.
Number 9 isn't Scotty P. This was before his time at the club, I remember Gary Smart and Paul Chenoworth being there. We had to meet at the club at about 6-6:30 before going to Bishop Sutton. We got paid overtime because it rained!! All thanks to Bob Brimson who organised it all.

Yep, Smart is the red number 11. I'll look closer for Cheno.
I think the episode aired in January 1994, around the time we played Stoke.
