A devastated Gary Owers speaks to BCIR after FA Cup exit
Fair play to Gary for giving us a few minutes of his time after that desperately disappointing result.
Some very honest answers given at what must be a real low point in his post playing career.

Re: A devastated Gary Owers speaks to BCIR after FA Cup exit
Well done for asking Gary to talk to you.
City started well and dominated the first 40 minutes with Naby Diallo very influential. The defensive error looked awful, a yawning gap between Chas Hemmings and Jack Batten let in Potters Bar for the equaliser. Jack Batten doesn't look comfortable and it was noticeable that Matt Taylor was speaking with him before extra time.
City's one big problem is the quality of crosses into the box, often going straight to the keeper, not getting past the first defender, going over the top of everyone or going out of play; something that must be worked on in training.
Penalties are also poor, more practise needed. Potters Bar took theirs confidently but City looked hesitant and could easily have had another two saved.
Gary now has the big task of raising spirits so that Eastbourne on Saturday is not another disaster or the after match party could be a very quiet affair.

I'm as confident of beating Eastbourne, who've never beaten us at home, as I was of us failing to progress last night.

And, ironically, Eastbourne's replay at Hadley will take place at Potters Bar!

I'm not confident of beating anyone but I am certainly apprehensive of playing any lower league team

Eastbourne won 4-1 after being 1-0 down briefly.
