Right, here's the deal. There is no Premier League nor Championship on Saturday. Bristol City and Rovers aren't playing and Bath Rugby are away.
Here is your chance to help boost the crowds and get more people hooked on the Bath City experience that we love so much.

You can share the Facebook event (https://www.facebook.com/events/1715191492064172/) and use the "invite" button for any people who you have ever felt would enjoy a Bath City home game. Let's get Twerton nice and packed for Non-League Day and share the experience with our mates!

You also retweet the event which is at pic.twitter.com/4CplUNAG2j.

If you aren't a Facebooker or a Twitterer, email or phone your mates or just tell them when you see them!  Wink

Get inviting (and sharing)!

Some more news about Saturday.

Kick It Out and Fans For Diversity to celebrate Non League Day

Kick It Out will partner with Non League Day for the fifth consecutive year on 3 September, as Bath City dedicate their fixture to football’s equality and inclusion organisation.

City have selected their home fixture against Whitehawk on Non League Day to recognise the work of Kick It Out and the Fans For Diversity campaign, run in partnership between Kick It Out and the Football Supporters’ Federation (FSF).

Kick It Out and Fans For Diversity will also engage Bath City as they invite members of the local community to watch the Vanarama National League South clash.

The planned activity around Non League Day will support the organisation’s ‘Call Full Time On Hate’ initiative. Taking place during the 2016/17 season, the initiative is calling on the collective force of the game to continue its efforts to encourage inclusion and deter hate from the game.

Players from all teams involved will wear t-shirts recognising Kick It Out and Fans For Diversity during the pre-match warm up, with supporters in attendance welcomed with badges, stickers, wristbands, fan clappers.

This year will also see an opportunity for fans to get their hands on limited edition Kick It Out novelty glasses - which allow to spectators to have a ‘Different View Of Football’.

Martin Powell, Chair of the Bath City Supporters' Society, welcomes the initiative, "As we begin the process of becoming a community-owned club, we are proud to dedicate this fixture to equality and inclusion in football. The central aim of community ownership is to include all sections of society - in Twerton, in Bath, in Somerset and beyond - on matchdays and in the running of the club. We also will be striving to engage with all members of the community wherever and whenever we can."

Roisin Wood, Director of Kick It Out, is delighted the organisation has continued its support of Non League Day for the fifth consecutive year.

“Over the past five years Non League Day has developed into one of the most important dates for the semi-professional and amateur game, and we are delighted that Kick It Out alongside Fans For Diversity will once again support the event.

“We saw from our activities last year the importance of clubs engaging with their local communities in helping to create a positive environment for all involved in football.

“These messages sit alongside our ‘Call Full Time On Hate’ initiative, which is calling on all of football to keep up its proactive stance against hate. With the backing of clubs dedicating fixtures, we hope our initiative reaches communities across the country.

Also, if you are and/or know any Bath Rugby, Bristol City or Bristol Rovers season ticket holders, they can get in for £7 on production of their season ticket.

Great job getting Bristol City to put it on their website and tweet it round.

I think that was Bob Chester's doing, so all credit to him for that.

Another entertaining match - like ETU last week, Whitehawk came to play football and there could have been many more than the 3 goals. After the disappointments of conceding late winners to Margate and Poole it was great to get one ourselves.

In the end, I think that 535 was a decent turnout given the appalling weather.

Clearly wasn't enough - they've replaced their manager in the last week.

Richard Hill takes over. Good track record at this level but another gobby one.

Talking of gobby ones, apparently Steve King has been milling around at Ebbsfleet a lot recently. Have to see if they're moronic enough to take him on. Spoke to the Whitehawk media guys who said they got rid of him as he was basically bankrupting them.

Add them to the list which involves Lewes (twice), Farnborough and Macclesfield.

How he still finds work is absolutely beyond me.

I was going to mention them but think they were already in a mess before he got there? No doubt he helped add to it.

When we played Whitehawk away in that midweek he was mouthing off about something or other, before Adie Britton shouted "why don't you just go away and bankrupt another club..." one of the greatest put-downs I've heard, clearly audible because there were only about 100 there.

There's also a chance Adie wasn't quite as polite as that.

A pity Adie wasn't at Odd Down last night to put down Saunders who was giving the City lads some stick at the final whistle.
