Well done Maidstone!
Beat Ebbsfleet on penalties in today's play off final. And to the Ebbsfleet fans who taunted us back in December with 'we won't be playing you next season!' - yes you will!!

Must admit it is funny that Ebbsfleet completed the f-up job today but having missed Maidstone last season wanted them to stay down.

Supposedly Forest Green only took around 2000 fans to Wembley. Love to know if that's true.

Forest Green were supposed to have sold over 4000 tickets but would not be surprised if Dale Vince bought 2000 of them himself.
Really pleased that Grimsby made it, after several near misses they must have been wondering if they would ever get back.
See Forest Green have appointed Mark Cooper as new manager, they will continue to throw money at it until they get promoted but I think it will eventually end in tears Rushden & Diamonds style.

very poor crowd for the final - 17,000. I'd have expected more people to be there from Grimsby, although they are also in the Trophy Final. Having said that, you wonder where all the 'extras' come from; why don't they go to normal home matches? That is actually the way that Bath R**by increased their crowds, as they went to Twickers every year for a number of years, and the casuals started to go regularly to the Wreck. Back in the 60's and 70's, City had bigger crowds than the R**by.

Re: Well done Maidstone!
I know every 'big' game has to be played at Wembley these days to justify that dreadful white elephant's existence, but 17 000 knocking around in a huge stadium looked really naff on the tv. Do the same as they do for our play offs and have the final at the home of the higher placed team. Yes, it will obviously attract a smaller crowd as it won't include so many of those who come out of the woodwork, but is that really such a bad thing? The real glory should go to Cheltenham as champions, not the winners of a runners up tin pot trophy.
