Bishop's Stortford 19th March
Hi all,
Stortford fan here in peace! Could someone kindly recommend any decent hostelry's to grab a decent pint and some good food close to the ground or is it possible to grab some decent scoff somewhere inside the ground?
Cheers

The Golden Fleece (see their Facebook page) is 5 minutes walk from the ground, not sure if they do food but there is a new Lidl supermarket next door so pick up some food in there.

For decent ale The Royal Oak on Lower Bristol Road, ten mins from ground, Charmbury Arms around the corner too especially if coming by rail via Oldfield Park station. Twerton Chippy on the high street next to the ground is fine for scran but close at 2pm, usually open after the match.

There is a Macdonalds between The Golden Fleece and the ground. Also a good local bakers in Twerton High St 100 yards before you reach the ground.
The club itself has a bar open to all and does Palmers real ale form Bridport Dorset.
Catering in the ground is standard burgers etc.
See other thread regarding the Old Crown pub, currently shut.
If you're still in the same league as us next season there will be an M&S Food nearby and maybe the Old Crown will have reopened as a gastro gin bar.

Cheers all appreciated, never been to TP before so looking forward to it! Will probably sample a couple in two or three boozers before hitting the ground. Allez les Bleus!

Try and check out Bath if you can. Number 5 bus is the one which takes you to the ground, otherwise it's a 20-30 minute walk.
