Bodmin Away
As noted on the 'who will we get' topic one could do this trip by train, and although the preserved line isn't running steam trains that weekend they are running a diesel gala with a train from Bodmin Parkway (where you connect with the main line) to Bodmin General which is in the town
Dep Bath Spa (sadly no station at Twerton any longer) at 10.07 arrive Parkway 13.24, where you take the preserved line at 14.00 up to the town arrive 14.15; that the latest one before 15.00 kick off.
And because they are running a longer day of services there are trains back
The connecting main line service back home seems to be at 19.01, so one could take the 18.20 service from General, connect at Parkway and arrive back to bath Spa at 22.01.
