Why all the news media fuss about Man Utd being thrashed by MK Dons? Man Utd fielded almost a full reserve side so, for me, no surprise in the result.

Will Man Utd be fined for fielding a “weakened” team?  

Without researching I would guess that this happens a lot in the “sponsor’s name” League Cup which Premier League clubs treat the same way as we do the Somerset Cup.

Surely the time has come for clubs to opt out of competitions they have no interest in or for the authorities to accept that these competitions should not be classified as “first team” games?

can't understand why they never put a strong side out as they have no european football this season
they have no chance of winning the league and i will be suprised if they come close to the top 4
that leeves just the fa cup now

Well I suppose Louis van Genius would argue that the MK game came just 2 days after the game at Sunderland. Don't complain, just enjoy! I thought last season under Moyes was very entertaining, but this one could be even better! cheers
