I'm trying to think of a winning goal scored so late in the match which has been met with such celebrations as yesterday's. There was Graham Colbourne's at Hayes a week before the Northwich heartbreaker in the late 90s and Deion's classic at Cardiff in the cup, but I'm not sure of the goal times for those. And I think Adrian Foster's in the great escape match at Worcester was scored well before the end. I can't think of any in the title winning season of 77/78 as we were usually at least 5 goals up by the end..

Adrian Foster shirt off celebration for winner in 4-3 win v Cant Remember on that Pridham survival season. Not sure how late it was but a similar see saw game.

The Hayes winner was actually an early goal, we were just clinging on for an eternity.

Aside from the above, I think the most I've celebrated a late goal was Scott Partridge's at Barnet in the cup. Delirium.

I remember a late Lee Phillips winner away to Southport in a game that City won 3-2 after being 2-0 down at half time. It was freezing cold up there on that day (November 2010), but the long trip was well worth it.

We rescued countless points from losing that season. I think in five games we were 2-0 down and didn’t lost them.

Unfortunately followed almost a year later by us being 1-0 up and losing to two very late goals from long throws.

I swear no-one said a word on the coach until we reached Gloucestershire.

Yes, I was at that one as well, but I much prefer to remember the first game!!

Someone told me at half time that day that we were gonna win 3-2 with a Lee Phillips winner, bet he wishes he'd put a fiver on it!

I did wonder if you would bring that up. One of my finest predictions, but also a very poor decision not to have the conviction to visit the bookies at half time!!

After we got our first goal a certain Mr York (senior) predicted to me we'd lose 3-1

I’ve got one. Home v Worcester in the 4th qualifying round of the FA Cup circa October 1978. Sir Richard Bourne slotted home just before the end to equalise in a match where we struggled. The goal sparked a pitch invasion that I took part in. I think the statute of limitations means I am safe. We lost the replay 2-1 in front of 5,000. I think we had about 3k at home.

Yes, I remember that now! I'm ashamed to have forgotten another significant Sir Richard goal...

Not quite! I think he had been moved up to play centre forward and scored it from fairly close range. I remember the celebrations more clearly!

If we are including equalisers how about Paul Bodin's goal in the FA Cup against Bristol City at Ashton Gate. I suppose the home replay at the same venue should also count as one of our larger home gates.
