The longest run without a draw?
I was just having a look at our stats yesterday and I noticed that we still haven't had a draw yet this term - neither in the league or cups. So that's 13 league games, three FA Cup games and one match in the sainted Somerset Premier Cup - 16 in total. And it got me to wandering - have we ever started a season this digitally before?
And unless you count the SPC semi that we lost on Penalties, you'll have to go back to March before you find a regulation draw - the away game at Hemel. This must say something about our current way of playing, but I'm not entirely sure what!

The only thing that surprises me is that it has taken Junior more than an hour to provide an answer. Perhaps he put his clocks ten hours back instead of one...

Even more surprising is that nobody has pointed out that 13 plus 3 plus 1 equals 17!

I was off watching a game this morning. Haven’t seen a draw in any of those I’ve covered either. I’ll look later. We had a very long run last year actually without, drew at home to Welling in September which was our first since February or something.

Re: The longest run without a draw?
We currently haven't drawn any of our last 20 matches, stretches back to April when we played out a 2-2 at WSM in the SPC, before losing on penalties.
It's also 19 league matches without a draw. In 2017, we managed 21 consecutive league games without one. Started at Oxford in February, ended at home to Welling in September, both 1-1, both after we'd fallen behind. It was 22 games in total including a defeat at WSM in the SPC.
It's the first time since the 1952/53 season that we've gone through August and September without a draw. Back then we played nine (five league, four cups), won six, drew three. If we don't draw Tuesday, it'll match our record from that season of going through the first three months without a draw. Our first draw was in our seventeenth match, 2-2 vs Headington in the Southern League on 15th November.
Also didn't draw until November in 1946/47, but was only our ninth competitive game.
1945/46 the first draw was our 31st match in all competitions. A 3-3 with Hereford on 30th March. That's the longest stretch to date.

I can't work out how many draws preceded the run in 1945 as an inconvenient conflict meant fixtures were slightly affected.
And in truth I can't think of any games in Jerry's time where we look like we've deliberately set out to not lose, rather than win.

Once again a poor team disrupts us. We have to find a way to win these games.
Still in 4th though and amongst it but so frustrating

SteveS suggested we have no plan B. Possibly we shpuld just keep launching it into the opposition box when they play deep. If you keep getting it into the mix anything can happen.
But first and foremost you do not want to be going behind to a team that just wants to get ahead and then shut up shop.
