Luke Matthews
Is he still around? I ask this because he wasn't mentioned as one of the injured players in the Chronicle interview with Lee Howells before the Maidenhead game, nor in the 'Players' apologies for absence' section of Stillman Junior's report of the Whitehawk game.
Is he going to join the list of 'one hit wonder'?

Re: Luke Matthews
I forgot him in my list. I was so hungover compiling that programme Sunday night that I'm amazed I remembered any missing players. Or any current players for that matter.

How's about Gallinagh central with Bowman at right back?

Re: Luke Matthews
I hope Matthews is available as Gallinagh is no centre back in my opinion, a tidy full back but when he has played in the centre for us he has looked very vulnerable

I think he was in the Premier Lounge - with crutches. So some way off yet?

Re: Luke Matthews
Big Chas it is then sacrificing the holding role.
Whilst St Alb and Havant have had poor starts it will be hard to maintain the 100% record but confidence will be sky high!

I would have thought that is the most likely option.

Re: Luke Matthews
Yes you could be right. Less disruptive of a winning team and Chas can protect the back 4.
Exciting times!

I am not sure if you are serious but I actually think it's worth considering, it would certainly cause the least disruption to the starting line up and the nearest thing to a like for like replacement

Re: Luke Matthews
If adelsbury was fit could he play centre half? He seems to be able to fill most other positions.

Re: Luke Matthews
Addlesbury has played centre back in the Somerset cup before now, I think it was a experiment but did ok against poor opposition, I think it was against cheddar.

Re: Luke Matthews
Good research Rob, FGR profile says
'A defender who is up for a physical battle, he is also technically adept with the ball at his feet and has a good range of passing ability'
Up for a physical battle will do me.

Re: Luke Matthews
That's very good news.
Having a specialist centre back is essential.
Hope he fits in well.

Scored two against our Academy team in a 3-3 draw in a cup game in March 2014 (we lost on penalties, naturally). I was at that game, will have to look through the photos.

Re: Luke Matthews
In the interview published in the Chronicle yesterday Adie Britton talked about Ben Adelsbury, Chris Allen and Sekani Simpson and said that Sekani was the furthest away from being fit, and there was still no mention of Matthews.
