Re: City v Bristol City
Lost 1-0
Dave Pratt had penalty saved
Must have been over 1,000 there
Tannoy didn't work
That's tonight's evening in a nutshell.

Shame bout tbe tannoy given new faces, start of season, and Bristol fans present. Couldn't Bob Chester have toured the ground continually shouting out the teams while selling programmes in one hand and collecting for Dorothy House with the other ??

Generous Bristol City fans donated over £100 towards the Bid.

McLennan showed plenty of interest and some skill, Kevin Nicholson at 3, the former Torquay player, vastly experienced, couldnt get forward much. Thougnt Hemmings, Kington and McCootie told to come back fitter.....early days I guess. Artus still a class act. Phillips straightway adding some composure. Watkins had a lively cameo, perhaps could have done better when through, and Addlesbury made a surprise appearance.

Unlikely as it would seem I believe he was suspended!

Decent first performance though it was quite a young Bristol City side.

We should play a newly promoted team every season for a friendly. The Bristol City supporters purchased the most matchday draw tickets for any away team I've dealt with. I think the euphoria of promotion was a big benefit for Bath.

Really? Did not realise players can use up their suspensions with friendlies!

Maybe he was sent off in a friendly and the rule applies to them. But in the past it has definitely not been the case regarding league games, otherwise the consequences would be obvious.

It is unusual I agree. I understand in a friendly game for Paulton he was made to be substituted - rather than sent off - by the referee who then reported the incident, so the Somerset FA banned him for one friendly game. The ban does show on the Somerset FA website.
