Volunteers needed for publicising Big Bath City Bid
Is anyone interested in volunteering for doing street stalls for the Big Bath City Bid - selling badges and t-shirts, publicising the bid etc. - at places like the Chelsea Road Fair, Bath Fringe, a stall in town, Green Park Market etc? I don't need people to commit to every one, just to have a list of people I can see who are available and willing to do it on a week-by-basis.
Let me know if you are up for it on here or by PM. Unfortunately, I can't do the Chelsea Road Fair this weekend but if someone could cover that, that would be great.

Anyone able to help run a stall pitchside at the Bath City Youth tournament to publicise the bid, collect details of interested people and sell badges? The tournament starts at 8.45 and runs until mid-afternoon but you wouldn't have to be there all that time. I can't be there but let me know and I will let those there know you are coming.

We also need some volunteers for next weekend as well -
Friday 15 May - Youth tournament at Twerton Park - table presence from 5pm
Saturday 16 May - Youth tournament at Twerton Park - table presence all day
Sunday 17 May - Youth tournament at Twerton Park - table presence all day
Again, it doesn't have to be all day if you can only spare a couple of hours.

Re: Volunteers needed for publicising Big Bath City Bid
Some Big Bath City Bid events that it would be good to get some people for -
Party in the City - this Friday. First night of the Bath Music Festival. There are music events all over Bath from 5.30pm till 12 midnight so we can expect crowds in the street. We don't have a fixed presence but could go from place to place and distribute the new brochures. Won't take more than a couple of hours.
Last Bath Rugby home game - this Saturday. The landlord of the Pulteney Arms is a Rovers fan and is keen to help us. There's always a big rugby crowd there before matches. Meet at 1pm.
June 2 Launch event - Need people to serve beer, work the merchandise stall etc.
There is also a youth football tournament at Twerton that needs some volunteers in some time slots -
Friday 15th May 17.45
Saturday 16th May 13.00
Saturday 16th May 16.45
Sunday 17th May 8.45
Message me if you can fill any of these or email me at marcthomas66@aol.com

More volunteers needed - this time for the big one, the launch of the bid itself. We need people for the following positions -
Beer pourers, people, merchandise sellers, ushers, radio mic holders and general runners.
Let me know by PMing me or emailing me at marcthomas66@aol.com if you are available

Volunteers would need to be at the Guildhall by 6 but, if possible, please let me know so we know what numbers are still needed.

Re: Volunteers needed for publicising Big Bath City Bid
OK, everyone, if you are wanting to help out on Tuesday, meet at the Guildhall foyer at 5.45 and I will run you through what is needed. If you don't know me, I will be the 6ft bearded man with the worried look on my face and dressed in a Bib t-shirt (see avatar).
Plenty more room for volunteers. If we can't find you a job on the night, then it will be good to have lots of supporters in the room anyway. We need to show the businesses, charities and other organisations that it is a thriving club with a passionate and loyal support.

Re: Volunteers needed for publicising Big Bath City Bid
OK, anyone who has contacted me with kind offers of volunteering or those who haven't but would like to volunteer, we need people to help man a street stall providing information, publicising the bid and handing out leaflets with details of how to apply for shares on. Here are the dates. They are all Saturday morning unless mentioned. The Bath BID ones will be from 9am to midday and I would expect the others to be much the same. However, of course, if you can't do the whole session, an hour or two would be a great help.
June 6th Bath Bid (City Centre) - This one is likely to be in the Abbey Square
June 20th Bath Bid (City Centre)
June 27th Local stall in either Widcombe High St., Chelsea Road or Moorland Road.
July 4th Bath Bid (City Centre)
July 11th Bath Carnival
July 18th Local stall in either Widcombe High St., Chelsea Road or Moorland Road.
July 25th Local stall in either Widcombe High St., Chelsea Road or Moorland Road.
Aug 1st Local stall in either Widcombe High St., Chelsea Road or Moorland Road.
There will be more announced once the fixture list is done and we know whether City are home or away on a Saturday. Let me know if you think you can do any of these.

We are trying to get Bid t-shirts for volunteers tomorrow but could any wear City-related tops just in case we can't?

Re: Volunteers needed for publicising Big Bath City Bid
Thank you all who turned up to volunteer tonight. Even if you didn't end up being needed, it was great to have you there so that the room was full which helped the event immensely.
This is the sort of community support we are going to need. Cheers again.

Re: Volunteers needed for publicising Big Bath City Bid
It did threaten to become the Ian Holloway show toward the end but I agree that he was one of the real highlights of the evening.
The venue was also very impressive and it was good to see a real mix of the usual faces with a considerable number I didn't recognise.
The poster has gone up in the window and now it's just a case of picking the right time to bring up the subject of buying shares to the good lady.

We received offers of help with email contacts but the following came back as undeliverable. If these email addresses look like they could be yours but are wrong and you still want to volunteer, could you email me (marcthomas66@aol.com) with the correct email address?
