Re: Eastbourne
Yet more tactical ineptitude from the management -
Playing 3 strikers. Hemmings in midfield.
Only won because Dave Pratt gives us 12 players.
Howells out!

Re: Eastbourne
A really good performance. Gallinagh looked far more assured at left back and Ball and Keary look to have a decent understanding in the middle. Hemmings really surprised me. I knew he had a great touch but he can play a good pass as well. Kington had by far his best game while up front we were unrecognisable. McCootie gave us the leader of the line we have been missing for far too long. He and Pratty hit it off straight away and all of a sudden we look dangerous. Could easily have been more.
I am really encouraged by this game but we are really short of numbers. Not an encouraging bench at all. We really need Artus back. I presume Burnell will not now appear again.

Look at the bench. What were the alternatives?

Gate was 423. Now that is something that does have to be worked on.

Now that is a good win against another leading side. Some more signs of hope, then, and a win at home!

Excellent performance all round. New striker looks really good and Chas played well in midfield. Roll on next week.

Re: Eastbourne
Fine performance. We started off looking sharp and took it from there. Amazing what a bit of confidence does. New man up front looked dangerous and gave us a proper shape. Big chasm I take it all back , he was excellent, and back four looked solid. Still not convinced by adelsbury but he put a real shift in today and Danny ball looked much more like the player of last season.
A real achievement as we were very short on numbers. Need some of those injured players back soon though, especially Frankie Artus.

Re: Eastbourne
Great performance all round....very impressed with Pat Keary, Chas Hemmings had a decent game (I gave him an extra cheer as the players came off, as his confidence needs a boost after all the mutterings on the stands) , Dave Pratt gave his all as ever (what a player).... But I was most pleased with new boy Nick McCootie. Didn't seem fazed by the step up to this level, and got a couple of assists (counting the pen). He put himself about a bit and looks the perfect foil for Pratty.
Everyone in the league is taking points of each other at the moment and if we can string a run together, things could improve quickly. The key as others of said is getting some of the walking wounded back....particularly Artus.

With what has been served up over the last home games, this was incredible. We looked full of confidence, attacked, looked sharp. The new boy Nick McCoote was a breathe of fresh air - attacked, defended and set up two goals. Hemmings was a different player and played well. In fact the whole team played well. More of the same please.

Re: Eastbourne
Hoping we pursue with Hemmings in the centre midfield role, thought he did really well and his confidence has hopefully been given a boost. New lad was superb, he and Pratt could be a deadly strike force.

Re: Eastbourne
Agree with everything posted previously. A really positive performance at home at last with some excellent individual contributions. I remarked to Phil that McCootie's debut was perhaps the most exciting since Deion Vernon's - let's hope he can keep that up. Loved the reference above to Big Chas - he went some way today to winning over his critics. Who knows, perhaps he'll become a cult hero! More of the same against Poole please...

Glad that the home fans have got to see some of the better stuff that we have seen away. And a clean sheet. With the emphatic rugby win, Leicester and Eastbourne left the great city of Bath without a score between them. Happy days.

Having met 2weirdtown I am sure it was tongue in cheek.
NB We need more emoticons so that feelings can be accurately expressed. (sorry Junior )

There have been a few false dawns but yesterday's team selection was probably the most adventurous / radical I have ever seen, so congratulations to some inciteful management and application in performance from the players. Three games unbeaten, the 'run' needs to be extended...then hopefully attendances will rise.
A great day for Bath sport, made a BIG difference to my feeling of well being.

I actually campaigned for them to be dismissed altogether (or at least from some users) as they can be irritating. I know I'm not alone in saying this.

Re: Eastbourne
providing they are used sparingly, I think they often help readers of a post to judge the mood of the person making it. without them, it's sometimes easy to misinterpret what is being said. but i agree, some people over use them and it's no bad thing that there's a limited choice.
