Eastbourne game

Would be unfair to read too much into today’s defeat as the game was played in really atrocious conditions. There were numerous occasions when players had difficulties taking set pieces and had to resort to a team mate holding the ball in position against the howling gale.
It was pity we failed to really work their keeper in the second half when shooting from even 40 yards out could have paid off.
That’s 9 games out of 18 in which we have failed to score…

It is going to take a while to sort out our lack of attacking intent. At least by the sound of it we played with a bit more team spirit. A draw would have been really good to get the team to start believing in themselves. That is a foundation we could build from.
