Maidstone game

Easily the most entertaining game of the season. A really heroic performance against a team who are unbeaten away from home. First time we’ve scored more than twice. We may have held out if Batten hadn’t got red card. Draw was fair result as Maidstone bossed the game and should have scored more.

Massive improvement from the whole team. Batten just needed to clear rather tha. His failed attempt to chest ìt back.
I also noticed we didn̈t keep passing it back.
Small steps of improvement

A good result and 3 goals, many an encouraging sign. Gutting to concede at the end but that's football. If the players are giving it their all for a manager who is proactive in trying to win games, that's all you can ask for. UTC

Great effort from the supporters under the Pop side last night, had the intensity and noise of a big cup game.

Maidstone were much fitter and stronger than us and were clearly expecting to win. Didn't like it that we never gave up and it must have hurt to concede 3 against a side that couldn't score.
Most fans left with a smile on their face.

A much changed style of play from City. Sending the ball forwards instead of back. Fighting to get the ball into the Maidstone net. Defending as if their lives depended on it. This performance makes one wish to return for the next match rather than make one feel like the next watch would be similar to attending a funeral. Well done the players and the noisy supporters.

Lets hope that the AC/DC tune from 1977 of 'Go Down' isn't used before May if the team show the spirit they demonstrated last night for the rest of the season.

Fantastic game. We looked sluggish at the start then out of no where we scored. After they took 1-2 lead I thought we were going to get thrashed like 1-5. Heads went down. However with Russe and Parselle we have real class fighters and dug in and equalised. Parselle what a captain. Think he cleared 3 off the line. His fight and leadership are fantastic. I think we only had 3 chances but fantastic to convert all 3. The scenes when Alves scored were incredible. A great game just annoying to concede so late. Decent crowd in my opinion when it was absolutely Baltic. A few years ago we'd have been pleased with that attendance on a Saturday. Think best atmosphere of the season. Night games at Twerton can really rock. Anyone going to Eastbourne. Get behind the City and enjoy the game. UTC.
