Have. A. Shot.
Seriously though I think things would be a lot different if Wilson could get a goal. He needs that spark to get him going again.

A spark!? Needs to be attached to the National Grid.

Well neither he nor anyone else had a shot until it was nearly all over.
Even the commentators are struggling to put any positive spin on it. Andrew Kerslake suggested Zac Smith and Clark are big misses but it sounded half hearted.
It didn't sound as though any of the new signings made one iota of difference.

I have now resigned myself to the distinct possibility that we are going down. Attending games will now just be a case of going through the motions.

Not the game itself but related to it - Whilst watching the Champions League I was also half listening to BCIR but also went to Flashscore to see how other games were progressing. Unfortunately whilst checking that website it flashed up the first Slough goal in advance of the BCIR live commentary!
The question is how much time delay there is on the BCIR commentary?

They didn’t. Hardly surprising as they’re playing alongside strangers and like just about every loanee of the past few years are raw kids. I hate to think what W-Smith and Alves are thinking if they’re sitting on the bench having been replaced by short term fixes.
What was particularly depressing was that Slough were pretty ordinary and yet it was a stroll for them.

Sometimes up to c.30 seconds.

Re: Slough game
I have to say if we are not scoring anyway we might as well stick with a preferred attacking option and giving them a few games together to see if they can develop an understanding. At the moment it doesn't look as though they are reading each others game.

You would have to presume that Jerry doesn't think they are following instructions so needs to get people in that will. From their point of view they need to force their way into the starting 11.

Re: Slough game
Perhaps or maybe they had fitness issues last night. But the two I mentioned are amongst the very few who have actually got on the scoresheet this season, each scoring an excellent goal in recent away games. And if they were fit to start I’m not sure that leaving them on the bench will do much for their confidence especially considering their replacements.

Re: Slough game
That was a grim watch. Tame, weak, passive are other words that could be used as well. I've watched City sides over many, many decades, that performance last night reminded me of a couple of relegated ones. Slough weren't much, didnt have to be tbh, themselves in a poor run, defensively could have been challenged, but we will never know.
Thought the new Rovers winger Anthony looked lively, the only one who could cause problems. Phillips on the other flank had moments but neither could get the ball over, or, like the entire team, were willing to risk a shot. Don't remember their keeper flying around shot saving at all. Russe playing so far forward that he looked like an extra attacker at times, surely best used in his position of breaking up attacks?
Physicality again an issue. Cant blame the young loanees, this is their learning curve, but our recruitment/retention of players outside the defence has a slight look about them. Playing Fisher as a lone striker invited the pressure when perhaps we should have been bolder and tested their confidence levels. Sols cuts a frustrated figure, this is not the team he thought he was joining, and Alves unfairly bears the weight of the 'new JT'.
I'll be at Twerton for WSM. On last nights evidence it could get messy, very messy.'

What I said to you before the match about the season so far reminding me of that miserable relegation season 13 years ago was reinforced by our paltry efforts. Then we scored just 5 from the first 13 and ended up with 43 from 46. Top scorer was Sean Canham with 9 - I can’t see anyone reaching that total at the moment and worryingly I can’t see who else is going to chip in with a few as the likes of Marley Watkins and Scott Murray did.
