Hello from Eastbourne (it's been a while)
I think it's been two and a bit years, in fact. We're still much the same down here, just a couple of years older and grumpier. Comfy mid-table. Win one lose one, draw a couple (incidentally, will City get some sort of award if you go through the whole season without drawing a game?)
Anyway, looking forward to our trundle down the M4, a mere 171 miles each way. And of course looking forward to re-uniting with the likes of Comrade Powell, who will spot all the offsides that I miss, but will be utterly blind to the obvious handball on the City goalline. It's what we do.
We've had some bizarre goings-on down here, with the whole board of directors resigning from office last week , but returning six days later. Non-league at its strange illogical best.

Hi Kevin! Great to hear from you again. I read on the Borough site that differences have been put aside and the Board is back in place, which is great news for the Club.
Have a good trip tomorrow (every long mile of it!) and enjoy your short stay in Bath. I read a rumour that you’re no longer doing commentary - surely not! But if so, do join me in the Royal Box to watch our non draw specialists.

Thanks, Martin - yes I will look forward to a proper catch up. I only occasionally do full commentary nowadays, although I'll probably be doing 30-second updates about twice per half. I'd use you as co-commentator but we'd never afford your fee.
Royal Box sounds posh. Eastbourne are a working class club. Is it somewhere near Royal Crescent? (And is this the only non-league forum where people converse in Latin? Gratias ago tibi, o Pulcher....

I hear that Rees-Mogg wanted to join but his application was turned down

Make sure you leave in plenty of time. There is rugby (sorry!) in Bath at 1pm tomorrow so the traffic will be even more pants than usual.

Oooh thanks, LB - we usually don't come down the A46 anyway, we go the long way round and come off the M4 further west. The egg-chasers get everywhere (I speak as a closet Gloucestrian....)
Our coach leaves at 9am so not cutting it too fine, I hope.
