Swindon Supermarine
Comprehensive win with 4 second half goals but had to survive early pressure and a couple of scares. Crucial save by Henry at start of 2nd half. That said an increasingly dominant performance that didn't quite yield a 1st half goal saw a torrent of goals to match the weather.
Pitch getting heavier and puddles forming towards the end meant passing had to be sure with players finding it difficult to keep their feet. Patience and quality won out though sometimes difficult for the spectator to watch constant passing without an end result in the box. But well drilled coachng and the quality of Harvey and Artus dominating midfield ball eventually wore down a Supermarine side that started brightly but failed to make early dominance count.
Great end to a great week that may be the turning point in the season. Another 4.5k prize money, into the last 32 and we can look forward to the league games with more expectation as players return and confidence improves.

Re: Swindon Supermarine
Have to agree but I think vital moment was at 0-0 when Jack Batten prevented them scoring. If SSM had a lead to protect it could have been a different situation.
Suddenly we are watching a Bath City side that seems to have found that goal scoring is not a problem. Long may it continue.
Certain irony is that Concord who have yet to contest 2019/20 are now out of 2020/21 competition!

And I’ve given a certain statto the task of finding the last time we had three goal scorers sharing the same first name.

Is Wilson's return likely for Boxing Day?
Any news of Raynes? What about Callum Evans if he is still with us?

Jerry said before the game that Wilson should be fit for Saturday, Callum Evans is isolating because a family member has tested positive and Joey still isn’t close.

Re: Swindon Supermarine
Just watched/listened to Gerry's interview. Sure he mentioned that Chippenham management were at TP watching. Hope I misheard as one has to wonder how they could be there but supporters were excluded.

Pretty sure part of the agreed protocol is that managers/ scouts can attend. I'm sure JG would benefit also.

Re: Swindon Supermarine
Didn’t Jerry say in the interview after the Dorking match that he had watched them in their previous fixture. That would not have been in front of spectators.
