I think coming 3rd was a respectable outcome.   

Thank you for running the competition, it was good fun and added a lot of interest in the World Cup long after it might otherwise have waned (i.e. after England limped out of it).

thanks Steve. as bletso would have ended up £73 ahead of me with a 2nd goal from the germans in the closing minutes, there will certainly be no crowing from me. and to be fair, i only registered 4 wins against his 5. while i was very confident germany would win last night, the fact that argentina had not conceded in the ko games suggested it would be close.

and in case any of us are thinking of spending time in the bookies this coming season, here's a warning to heed - the 4 of us placed almost 100 bets between us, yet there were only 13 wins...  

and as a footnote, i think the changes you suggested at the end of last season have worked very well and i intend implementing them for the big one!
