Relegation Candidates?
At the risk of doing the opposing manager's team talks for them, which 3 teams will be relegated from the National League South in 2016/17?
(Be prepared for ritual humiliation as this thread resurfaces next April)
Hungerford
Oxford City
Weston SM

Every year WSM are tipped by most to go down and every year they stay up. I believe they are the only club to have featured in every Conference South season.

But this is "their year".

Agreed. And also, some people moan when Weston are in the bottom 3 and are then reprieved, when another club or clubs get thrown out of the Conference for dodgy dealings. This is the fault of those dodgy clubs, not Weston! I hope that they stay up.

Re: Relegation Candidates?
Likely candidates are Hungerford and East Thurrock as they came up through the play-offs.. Thinking that Bishop Stortford will struggle but can not rule out Gosport if their financial problems return.
Anyway going with:-
E. Thurrock, Hungerford and my wild card of Concord.

Re: Relegation Candidates?
Firstly I think we need to find 2 or 3 experienced players at this sort of level to keep clear of trouble.
Weston always seem to start slowly but improve as the season goes on, so perhaps it is good we play them early on.
Hungerford have a reputation for being very physical so they may be suited for this league and survive. Don't know much about East Thurrock.
At the end of last season Gosport and Margate were the ones supposed to have financial problems but they have both been signing numerous players and look to have squads that will keep them clear unless the problems come back and they end up having to release players.
The only one that I can say I think will struggle are Bishops Stortford, but they will now likely have a good season.

Re: Relegation Candidates?
Stortford seem to be the likely strugglers but nobody would have predicted Basingstoke and Havant last season given they both finished in the play offs the previous one, so who knows.
For no other reason than I'd like to see the back of them, Weston, Truro and Concord.

Stortford's manager has moved on to Chelmsford as well.
