Re: "PASITIVE" (Optimistic?) THOUGHTS
All seems a bit unlikely to happen like that in my opinion.........sorry.
Rob Wills's predictions have been a bit out and I can't see these being any more accurate.
Hope I'm proved wrong.

Results and performances are so unpredictable, makes it more entertaining.
Liverpool must have been watching us from the WSM game.

With us having to play both, two wins against them, will almost certainly ensure our survival...hopefully.
With three correct results today your predictions look a bit healthier too. 54 points here we come.

Re: "PASITIVE" (Optimistic?) THOUGHTS
51 points is the certainty for SAFE, 50 points could be goal difference BUT we have a much better one than Margate, Hayes or Havant. So a WIN on TUESDAY against Whitehawk would put us on 50 AND if Havant fail to win Tuesday WE ARE SAFE on 50 points.
Hoping for a record Tuesday evening game attendance.
Due to the situation I have changed the prediction of one game on the final Saturday.

Re: "PASITIVE" (Optimistic?) THOUGHTS
Can't conclude anything Tuesday. Truro play Havant next week.
I reckon a point on Tuesday for us and that should be enough.
Margate, Hayes and Havant have to start winning. St. Albans still down there but their form is championship. Weston have a tough last 2 so are back in the mire on gd

Re: "PASITIVE" (Optimistic?) THOUGHTS
You are correct Pete...Havant don't play Tuesday so it could all be decided, for us at least, at Hayes on Saturday.

Re: "PASITIVE" (Optimistic?) THOUGHTS
I know it's all guesswork, but can you please revise your predictions to show WsM in the bottom 3.
Just say Havant will beat Truro will do!
Although goal difference may ruin that.
Add a draw at Concord please.

Re: "PASITIVE" (Optimistic?) THOUGHTS
The bottom 3 in my mini table ARE NOT the actual bottom 3 as Basingstoke are already in 22nd position and relegated. There is still the AGM Cup to come so anything could happen.
The current form table - http://www.footballwebpages.co.uk/bath/form/four - is looking good we are 4th playing 3rd Whitehawk, so a play-off place beckons...(I'll get my coat).

3 wins out of 4 and we still only have a +1 gd. Something for GO to ponder as he puts his team together for next season.

Is Gary staying on next season? Results and performances have improved since he took over and assuming he keeps us in this division, I would like to see him stay, but does he have other plans to manage elsewhere?

Re: "PASITIVE" (Optimistic?) THOUGHTS
Agreed, Demon. I have a hunch that we will finish the season as we started - on a winning run. But as in August, last Saturday's and yesterday's wins were real battling, narrow victories achieved with much sweat and some good fortune. That's not to take anything away from the management or players, some of whom are showing far more resolve and passion than during the winter months. But we mustn't kid ourselves if relegation is avoided - this squad, like the club as a whole, needs an overhaul. I'm really impressed with how GO has instilled a more professional approach and I'm sure he knows the job for him is only just starting.

Re: "PASITIVE" (Optimistic?) THOUGHTS
It would be somewhat fitting (and nice) if we finished with five wins culminating in sticking five on Margate!
Start: 6 out of 6
Finish: 5 out of 5
Middle: 4 out of 31
And I certainly hope Gary stays as it would be interesting to see where he goes with the team. I had thought that the short term nature of his arrival (no contract) was due to the likelihood of the community takeover happening in the summer but I assume that isn't happening now.

I'm fairly certain that the Bid's fortunes had no bearing on his contract terms

Interview on Chronicle website with Gary Owers sheds a bit of light on his plans for the future

Some very sensible comments there, especially...
"I don't want everybody to get excited about avoiding relegation. We shouldn't be in that position.

Gary Owers' comments in the Chronicle have all been very straightforward and sensible. Not once has he complained about lack of money etc. A refreshing change.

Does that mean we need to find a new keeper for next season?

If so, there's a promising young keeper called Jason Mellor who could do a job for us!pete mac wrote:Does that mean we need to find a new keeper for next season?

Assuming he has learned to kick straight. Perhaps some lessons from Steve?

Has, Mellor seriously only made 4 appearances for Clevedon? Has he gone somewhere else that I don't know of.
