Ruth Skinner
Steve Skinner contacted me today with the very sad news that his mother, Ruth, had passed away this morning. Many forum members will remember Ruth and her husband, John, as long time supporters of the club, following the team both home and away. They always supported club events and could be seen in Charlie's before a game selling programmes. A few years ago there was an event to choose the best ever City goal and Dean Birkby proudly received the John Skinner Trophy, presented by Ruth.
RIP Ruth - Bath City has lost a very loyal supporter.

Re: Ruth Skinner
It certainly is sad news about a lovely lady.
Two great characters in Ruth and John.
My heart goes out to Steve and all the family.

Steve. So sorry to hear the news about your mum. She was a wonderful lady, and of course a staunch City supporter who will be sadly missed.

Re: Ruth Skinner
So sorry to hear this news, Steve. My mum and dad were such good friends of Ruth and John, through Stothert and Pitt and Bath City.
Ruth was a wonderful lady - small in stature but big on personality and will be sorely missed by all those whose lives she touched.
RIP beautiful Ruth.

Re: Ruth Skinner
Thanks to all those who have sent messages.
Ruth's funeral will take place at St Lukes Church, Wellsway, on Wednesday 13 January at 1.30pm followed by private cremation and refreshments. We would like as many City fans as possible to come along and join us in remembering both Ruth and John who supported the club for many years.
No dark clothing, donations for Bath Stroke Support Group are welcomed.
Steve, Sue and family.
