I'm sure you're all as p!ssed off as I am at the events that have transpired with FIFA over the last few days.

In an attempt to turn anger into action, I've started a petition calling on the FA to take a stand and start the call for a boycott of the 2018 World Cup to force change. Sepp has brassnecked his way through everything else that has been thrown at FIFA to date. It's clear nothing will change there without some serious external pressure from national associations and sponsors.

If you agree please sign and share this petition : https://www.change.org/p/the-football-association-boycott-the-2018-world-cup

Thanks.

2018 is odd, it seems likely that it wasn't clean (let's see what the investigation uncovers) but Russia is a credible host of a World Cup - football loving country with lots of cities etc.

It's 2022 that ought to be boycotted, but not just the FA or UEFA it'll take all the big teams and sponsors to pull out to change anything.

If FIFA is rotten, then in my view its authority needs to be challenged immediately and at the first opportunity. Whilst the Qatar decision is blatantly indefensible, the 2022 event is seven years away. We can't wait that long for change at FIFA.

As soon as a big nation breaks ranks and threatens a boycott of the next World Cup. I suspect strongly that other nations will follow suit. The UK is an important market for FIFA and its sponsors. If it takes a stand, other nations will listen and follow. And, perhaps more importantly, sponsors will too.

The pressure must be kept on FIFA, or Blatter will just ride this latest set of challenges out and claim it all has nothing to do with him.

The fact is - Blatter won two thirds of the vote despite all the misgivings here. Other peoples aren't as horrified by corruption as we are. Indeed they expect it.

I think the FA have taken completely the wrong stance. Publicly shouting the odds will have done us no good in the long run. We live in an era when politicians do not fall on their sword so why should we expect Blatter to?

I'm as horrified as anyone by FIFA and their odious leader. But the sight of that buffoon Greg Dyke calling for change is the height of irony - he needs to concentrate on the reform of his own organisation and leave Platini to finally show his worth by leading Europe's response to this crisis.

He appears a really bad choice, but was elected fair and square. Not that dissimilar to events in this country earlier this month.
FIFA is no different to the Olympic committee at both world and UK level.

That's hardly a ringing endorsement.

Without wishing to be pedantic, shouldn't this be in "All other football""?
