Latest post from Mud at 1.13pm "Following a pitch inspection this morning a further inspection will take place but has been delayed until 1330. This is to allow a machine from Forest Green Rovers to try and work its magic." This is becoming even more unbelievable

The pitch inspection at 1300 has been delayed until 1330 to allow a machine from Forest Green Rovers to hopefully work its magic.

Why wasn't this started earlier?

Henry Burridge ‏@HJBurridge  Pitch inspection to come at Weston, doesn't look too bad aside from one patch by the goal...

Well sod them and their continuous contempt for supporters. We're going down Manor Farm instead.

Plenty of sand being applied to the pitch, very, very squelchy around the penalty area at one end

That was clearly the wonderful machine that they got flown down from Forest Green. Much better than my wheelbarrow

Fully expected with the amount of rain we've had this week but to keep fans hanging on until just before 2pm is ridiculous.

I think they believe it is better to wait as long as possible to get the game on but surely they should know their own ground by now?

The football league should do something about it.

Midsomer-steve and I have been hanging on waiting to see if the match was on or not before setting out to drive to W-S-M. We had almost given up at 1.30pm and thought "stuff 'em". We are now glad that we had not set off. I just feel very sorry for the players and supporters travelling on the coach who will have had to pay and get all the way there before finding it was off. Surely, given their track record, W-S-M could have just said it was off at 10.30 this morning and spared a lot of people a lot of incovenience. Evil or Very Mad

Oh well. . . . . . Radstock Town here we come. Smile

What can we expect from a club that absolutely NO consideration for travelling fans?

Lets be honest, the staff etc from Weston are secretly chuckling away at this.

I don't know why people bother attempting to go. The original fixture away to Weston (or Havant) between November and February will not take place, simple as. Always make alternative plans is my advice. Hope those who've gone by train can have a decent day in Weston.

NYD 2013 it was postponed when we were en route, having initially been declared on at 10.30am. All other 10 fixtures were played on this date.
NYD 2014 it was postponed at 10am. Only one fixture in the league took place on this date.
Boxing Day 2014 it was postponed 90 minutes before KO. All other nine fixtures were played on this date.
4th February 2017 it was postponed 75 minutes before KO. One other fixture (Truro v Gosport) has been postponed out of the seven fixtures.

I never left for Weston as I guessed what would happen. Went to Larkhall 0 Bideford 1 very poor game. Bas turned up at half time having of course got all the way to Weston on the coach. The words he was using to describe Weston are not printable, said the only person who came to our supporters and apologised for another wasted trip was Ashley Kington.

You did this season Pete!!!! At least the tide was in, the sun was out, and the balcony of the Cabot Court Hotel (Wetherspoons!!) was warm with a great view and Exmoor Gold at £1.99 a pint (with a CAMRA voucher). Plus meeting up with loads of City supporters in town and en route. Back again on Tuesday?

BenE is right, the club should complain to the league about this who should, obviously, be aware of the situation and doing something about it anyway but I doubt they are.

We were in Off The Rails - quite the oddest pub I have been in for a while - when we heard the announcement so decided to go into to town and watch the rugby. My head this morning can be completely blamed on WSM not providing a match to interrupt the drinking.

Although it was a good day out, WSM should be given a right bollocking for yesterday and the stats that Mark posted above.
