Reminder end of season presentation is this Saturday. Doors open 7pm. I won't write 1900 as Ashley would make some sarcastic comment!

It also needs mentioning that it costs £5 to gain entry to the presentation, which includes £3 of betting chips for the horse racing. I believe you can buy food as well as drinks. I think Bob Chester said something about there being a chance to choose your goal of the season too.

Where does it say £5. Not on the flyer, not on the official website?

Is this another management error?

I dare say few would object with the £3 of betting chips + the free glass of champagne but full disclosure of the detail a lot earlier would be the proper thing to do.  Rolling Eyes

Two very valid points I'm afraid.

I'm 50/50 on whether to go at the moment, depends what my mates are doing. It's always a great night once you're there though, even if you don't do the gambling part. I think I gave away my roulette chips last year.

At least i'll be having a beer or 2 the night before at the Table Tennis award evening; don't worry I won't drink all the real ale!

To clarify, admission to the event is FREE but I would encourage supporters to participate in the race night element of the evening.

To join in the race night element of the evening and raise funds for the Football Club, there is a charge of £5 which includes the official race night programme (£2) and 3 x £1 free tote vouchers to spend during the evening.

A reminder also that there is a FREE glass of bubbly on arrival.

I trust this clears up any doubt or confusion.

Should be a good evening, meeting with the management and players etc.

Thanks for that clarification Andy...

I am not that fond of champagne and will donate my glass to any young lady who would like it...see me on the night.

Top work Andy, you don't post much on here but when you do it's positive and to the point! I will make more of an effort to attend now and put a few quid behind the bar.

Spread the word people!

I can't get to it, as will be in Cornwall. I hope it's a great evening and it raises lots of money for the club.

Thanks for your post.  True, I only tend to post when necessary and where clarity is needed.

Afraid not because:

Andy Weeks wrote:...and 3 x £1 free tote vouchers to spend during the evening...

What will be the percentage deduction from the pool?  Cool

Thanks for clearing that up Andy. I did think it was strange when Bob Chester announced during last week's meeting that it would cost £5 to get into the presentation evening as the cost hadn't been advertised anywhere else.  It should be a good night.
